For Instructors

The OCAT System can give the instructor more information about how a shooter is shooting than any other system.

A firearm instructor has numerous items he or she must pay attention to while working with a student. The instructor must ensure the firearm is handled safely, watch the stance and grip of the student, watch how the student squeezes the trigger, and how the student handles the recoil. The instructor has to do all of this while trying keep track of  where the student’s shots are hitting the target.

The OCAT System reduces the work load of the instructor by automatically tracking where the shots are hitting the target, the order of the shots, and the shots timing. The instructor only has to glance at the system’s screen to see where the students shots are landing, allowing the instructor to focus on the student’s handling of the firearm.  This provides immediate benefit to the student as the instructor can now more effectively guide the student to becoming a better shot through use of the OCAT System’s display as well as the increased time available to observe the student rather than the target.

And, with the laser live fire simulator mode, instructors are no longer limited to assessing the student’s ability only at a shooting range.  Use the system anywhere in laser mode and get even more feedback on how the student shooter is doing.
